What These Settlement Letters Show
Settlement letters are formal documents issued by lenders when an account is resolved pursuant to an agreed settlement.
Depending on the individual case, a settlement letter may specify:
- The relevant loan or credit account
- The outstanding amount
- The agreed settlement amount
- The applicable payment terms
- The settlement validity period
- Confirmation of settlement upon fulfilment of the agreed terms
